In the Middle of Our Street....

Our House....

It is actually in the middle of the of our street... hmm....

any ways....

We have officially been in our house 1 year!

So to celebrate I will share with you a (now)funny story that happened this weekend.(It wasn't too funny when it happened....)

On Friday I came home to Mikey-Man finishing up the baseboards. He taped them and painted the wall so they were officially DONE! I feels so good to have that off our project list. And when you look at them from the couch they just look so amazing. (Good Job Babe!)
Later that night, while I was cleaning the kitchen (cause I can do that now without gagging!) Michael hung up a really coolio framed Mirror that we just bought. I love it. The paint on the wall compliments the wood on the frame, it just looks awesome. As we were getting ready to go over to a friends house I heard a loud crash and then a whap. I turned around and saw that our mirror is laying flat on the floor. My first thought was crap the mirror is gonna be in pieces!

The Mirror is completely fine. A part of the frame broke off, but that will be easy to glue back on...

THEN we noticed the baseboard.... There was a HUGE chunk of it missing!
AND THEN we noticed the tile that broke into lots of little pieces!

Luckily we have extra baseboard and extra tile...
But now there is another project on our ToDo List....

  4. I'm sure you enjoyed those finished baseboards for the hour or so before it was broken... That is very weird that the mirror didn't break, but everything else did!

  5. that is so frustrating to have it fall and not only undo the project he just finished, but also cause another project. UGH.

  7. At least the cute mirror is okay! That's so weird though that it's the one thing that didn't break other than a chip of the frame!
