Futter By....

Home Goods is a dangerous place for a expecting mother that is trying not to spend money.

I saw these:

I totally thought they were cute, but they were real butterflies... Which I thought was just a little too morbid for a little girl's nursery...

So I came up with this:

Which was way cheaper anyways... I got the butterflies at Michaels and I think they were $5 for a pack of 10 and the foam board was $2.50. I can't wait to find frames for them and put them in the nursery!

ps. The butterfly wings are made of dyed feathers with glitter... How fun is that instead of creepy dead insects?

  1. You're so creative, Moe. I wish I was!

And as for your last comment on our blog, Joss is so much like you, it weird. Pretty much the little girl version of Rich.

  3. So Cute! The DIY projects are much more rewarding than just buying them...and I must say, yours are WAY cuter than the ones from Home Goods...and they probably wont get old and have the wings fall off later..ew.

  4. So before I actually read the blog, I saw the dead butterflies and thought, "Don't tell me she's putting dead butterflies in Izzy's room. We have a lovely green head to go with them!"
But then I saw your adorable project and breathed a sigh of relief. I love those, especially the one with the lone blue butterfly!
