Baby Update No. 8

How far along: 22 weeks and 3 days/17 weeks and 4 days TO GO!

Total weight gain/loss: I have been feeling extra chubby lately. So I braved up and stepped on the scale. To my amazement I have only gained a pound. (Now the accuracy of my scale is unknown...) I have a Dr. apt this friday, I will find out for sure how much I have gained...

Maternity clothes:
Just the jeans. I love the look of tight shirts showing off my belly. Esp. striped shirts. I think they are just soo cute on a pregnant girly....

Stretch marks:
None yet. It is weird looking into the mirror. To just look down and see my cute belly is so fun! I love that Izzy is in there. Its just crazy awesome. BUT to see it in the mirror, is crazy weird. I'm just not used to seeing the shape of my body so different....

Sleep: Yeah I think I have finally reached the point in my pregnancy where I have to go to the bathroom A LOT. So the sleep thing is still good, but getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom is not preferred. I have AGAIN lost a lot of my energy. I feel tired so quickly. Luckily I still have energy to get things done. (thankgoodness)

Best Moment this week: Saturday Night, Mikey-man and I just hung out. We went to RC Willey Scratch N dent, and found a matching chair to our dinette set for $30 so we got it... 3 chairs are better than 2. Came Home watched a movie. It was sublime.

Movement:
Izzy is all over the place. And I am LOVING it! It is soo fun to be sitting at work completely bored and get a little nudge. Its so sweet at the same time, like a 'hey mom, I'm here!' I just love it. Can't wait til she is here.

Food cravings:
Mac-n-Cheese. Shayla (my sweet sister in law) made some one night, and I don't know if I forgot how good it was or what. But I LOVE mac-n-cheese! Del Taco is my new favorite. It used to be Carl's Jr. now it is Del Taco. Mmmm. Pretty much anything spicy is yummy. (I haven't gotten the pregnancy heart burn yet.)(For this I count myself blessed) Hot Chocolate is definitely on the list. (probably cause we keep our house cold... I know I blame Mikey for this, but its more my fault. I cannot regulate my temp.) Im coldy one minute, and HOT the next. So for now throwing a blanket on or off me is the best and easiest plan...............

Aversions:
Izzy does not want or like re-fried beans. I can't tell which it is.... Cafe Rio is on the no bueno list too, I am tempted to try In n Out (my non-pregnancy favorite) but I am scared that I will gag at the smell of it. (and I don't want that) So I have sadly not gone close to it...

Gender:
GIRL! I LOVE shopping for little girl things. I registered at target this weekend and it was so fun to scan everything that was cute. (I probably have to go back and edit that list quite a bit)

What I miss:
My old reflection. (I know I know) Its a good thing that she is growing its just really weird to see myself differently. I didn't think I would have a problem with this but, its just the odd-est thing to look in the mirror. With clothes on it's not so bad....

Milestones: I feel like I'm so close but so far. Hitting the Halfway mark was huge for me. Now that I'm past that I feel like everything is down hill. THEN I remember that she isn't due til beginning of April... why does that feel so far away?

Extra: I had to buy draw-string sweat pants. All the comfy sweats that I have are now too tight around my middle. It was fun getting them and wearing them is so nice. LOVE them. But at the same time... I had to buy draw string sweatpants.... (lol) I also bought slippers. No more cold tile floors for my bare feet!

  1. Yay, you got another chair! Keep checking, when we got our set that's twins with yours, they had a whole bunch of chairs, and they can always order one too.
Can't wait to see what you end up doing with the nursery!

  2. I was surprised by how affected I was by my changing body, too! I didn't expect to care so much, but it really can be strange to go through so much of a change. I had a hard time after delivery--I expected to get back to my normal size immediately, but it didn't happen for a long time and that was depressing. I had to learn to be patient and let my body do its thing.

  3. Oh man, mac-n-cheese (along with any other processed foods like Ramen) was one of my staples too! By the way, this is Andrea, I just changed my signature.
